By Waters Edge
I had been trying to shoot this scene for quite awhile, I just couldn’t get the right conditions until this morning, where there was a thin layer of mist rising from the lake, the sun was in the right position, everything fell in place.

Still Standing
I came across these little gums that had obviously suffered from the droughts that had plagued this area for many years. it was like a group of friends still standing through thick or thin.

The Lake
It is not often when we get fogs here in Brisbane, mostly they are very light and localised. this particular morning it was very localised and didn’t last long. so the essence of speed is essential when composing and taking the photo.

Removed
I shot this photo at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. it was was raining and the fog was hanging around. the wet tree and grasses were beautiful. the two trees in the foreground were standing alone from the others, separated by a boggy waste land. I have cropped this photo to draw the eye in to what I saw.

The Billabong
Billabongs are Australia. We were out for a drive one afternoon and came across this one beside dirt country road. the lilies and the paper bark set the scene.

Pillars of Trust
I was out photographing Waterfalls in the hinterland of Eastern Tasmania on a recent trip, when I noticed these gums growing very close the these pillars of rock. I like how the rock face continues up to the gums.

Back Country
This year, we have been spoilt with a lot of fog due to a lot of rain and cold weather. we were traveling through this area when we decided to take a off road to investigate the thick fog. we are glad we took our time to explore

Standing Above the Rest
I shot this on the shores of Dove lake in the Cradle Mountain area of Tasmania. this little guy stood out from the rest.

Surprise Find
Sue and I were out doing Seascapes one afternoon in the Bay of Fires area of Tasmania. The seascape was a bust. when walking back to the car. we came upon this . It was a fresh water creek that at times would meet the ocean. today it was cut off. it was so inviting.

The Track
One wet day, we were out exploring an area of the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast by four wheel drive, we really didn’t know where we were heading and we had just crossed a beautiful gully and I had to stop, only to look up and see the track winding its way up the hill and around the corner.

The Hut
High up in the Victorian Alps you come across this Hut. it was built for the Movie, The Man from Snowy River. it has been rebuilt a couple of times. it takes a nice photo in the right light.

Fenced In
An old rustic paddock surrounded by fog

Beside Still Waters
Are You ever drawn to a scene that captures your imagination, your thoughts? This scene did just that for me. As the light penetrated the fog it drew my eye through the scene.

" The Warrumbungles"
These majestic peaks litter the country around the town of Coonabarabran in New South Wales. They are best photographed in the late afternoon sun as they catch the golden light

Old Blokes
these trees have been standing for many years observing the paddock .
